Senior Health Clinics
Senior health clinics provide health education and counseling for seniors who are residents of Stearns County age 60 and older. These services target seniors who have difficulty meeting their health care needs due to low income, although anyone age 60 and older is welcome.
Services include an assessment done by a nurse, who will discuss questions or concerns about health conditions, medications, diet, or living situation. The nurse will trim toenails and give tips on how to keep feet healthy. The nurse will also make referrals as needed.
You may be a good candidate for the services if
- You have decreased mobility, often related to knee and/or hip replacements
- You have poor eyesight
- You have diabetes.
Clinics are held monthly in various locations throughout Stearns County. A donation of $15 per clinic appointment is requested. However, any amount is accepted, and no one will be refused services due to inability to donate.
Appointments are necessary for the clinics. To schedule an appointment or for further information, contact Stearns County Human Services, Public Health Division at 320.203.6942 or toll-free at 1.800.450.3663.
