Family Home Visiting Program
About the Program
The Stearns County Family Home Visitor program is a parenting program designed to assist families in creating a healthy, nurturing environment for their children. A Public Health Nurse and a Human Service Aide visit in the family home.
Based on individual and family needs, teaching and discussion can include:
- infant and child growth and development
- health and nutrition
- safety and injury prevention
- parenting and limit-setting
- family and community relationships
To qualify for the program, the family must have at least one child under age 6.
The program is available at no cost.
Hours are arranged to accommodate family needs.
