Enjoy county parks.
The reluctant spring of 2012 has finally begun to er, well, spring! Now we had 80's in March and the trees got kind of confused, started to bud, and I was worried they may freeze off and have no leaves! (Obviously, I'm not a tree expert!) It's getting very nice and green here at
Quarry Park. I had my lunch in the parking lot, well at a picnic table
near the parking lot and I tried to pick some lilacs, but you'd have to be 30 feet tall to reach them! I think someone or something has already reached the low-growing lilacs. Sigh. Well, nature lovers, it's supposed to be spring, even though it's cool. I'm also growing webbed feet from all the rain, but rumor has it, it will stop raining someday. SO, I'd love to invite you to visit one of our green and colorful
parks this spring. If you come on a rainy day, it will be muddy, I promise. If you come on a sunny day (like today) it's heavenly. It smells good, fresh air, the warm breeze feels good, and even the bugs aren't thick yet. You may just see a baby fawn. I've seen many of them this time of year. It's a great time to go for a stroll or bike ride before the summer crowds arrive. Please join us as soon and as often as you can and enjoy nature.
