Want a great way to cool off?
Hello sun worshipers, and NOT. If you've about had it with the heat and humidity, never fear, Quarry Park is near! We have a great swimming quarry that is 112 feet deep. It's clear, it's cool, it's clean. What's not to love? I invite you to cool off Today! Quarry Park is open from 8AM- 1/2 hour after sunset. Plenty of time to get cool and enjoy the summer. If a beach is more to your liking, why not check out Warner Lake Park? It has a sandy beach and is more family-friendly, with a gradual slope for the little ones.
While you're out enjoying the sun and water, why not snap a couple digital photos and send them in for the County's photo contest. The top 10 prize winners get a FREE Quarry Park pass. That's good for 12 months, folks.
There's a great Free event coming up! On Saturday, August 14, the DNR, along with Stearns County Parks will be offering the "Take a Day Off" program. It's at Mississippi
County Park, totally free, and open to all ages. See you there!
