Stearns County Attorney Janelle Kendall announces a new tool to provide victims and the general public with additional information about Stearns County Adult Criminal court cases. The Adult Criminal Case Search tool for the web, located at: Criminal Case Search
The tool allows the user to search for adult criminal cases filed by the Stearns County Attorney’s Office and obtain information about the current status of the case including court dates, the charges against the defendant and the arresting agency. “This tool allows our victims to access court date information about their cases 24/7,” states Kendall. Parties may search the site by defendant’s last name, court file number or ICR (police report) number. The information contained on the site is updated as soon as the case is formally filed with the court and updates as court administration assigns court hearing dates. Creation of the tool was a joint effort between the Stearns County Attorney’s Office, Information Services Department and Stearns County Court Administration. “The success of this project lies in the work between the county and state agencies,” affirms George McClure, Stearns County Information Services Director.
