Stearns County area motorists are advised that County Road 186 will be closed approximately 0.7 mile west of State Trunk Highway 4 beginning Wednesday, August 4, 2010 until the middle of October. The road closure is necessary for the replacement of the bridge over the Sauk River. A detour will be posted. Access to businesses located southeast of Sauk Centre and west of Trunk Highway 4 will be from Sauk Centre. View a map of the construction zone.
The construction project will replace the last structurally deficient bridge currently listed on the Stearns County system. Upon completion of the bridge there will be approximately two weeks of approach grading work. The prime contractor is Dallco, Inc. of Finlayson, MN.
