Join Stearns County Parks Ski Patrol Team With the arrival of snow comes the Stearns County Parks Department’s need for people to do ski patrol.
Cross-country ski patrol volunteers provide information to skiers, record observations and provide needed assistance. All volunteers receive a short orientation. Ski patrol volunteers monitor and report conditions at four County parks: • Kraemer Lake • Mississippi County park • Warner Lake • Quarry Park
All volunteers who patrol for two 2-hour sessions get a free Quarry Park annual sticker.
Sign-ups are now done online. The online registration process involves three easy steps: • Create an account with contact information, a login and password • Complete the orientation • Select dates and park location from the calendar
Once you’re registered the system provides several helpful tools: • Track your patrol dates • Submit post-patrol reports • Receive email reminders of upcoming patrol dates • Contact a substitute volunteer
Only Quarry Park has lit ski trails and is open until 11:00 p.m. At Kraemer Lake you will need the state ski pass, as it is a Grant-in-Aid state ski trail.
