St. Cloud and Sartell area motorists are advised that construction will begin on the County Road 120 Improvement project on Monday, July 23, 2012. This will require the complete closure of County Road 120 at the Centracare Circle intersection. Detour signs will be posted, using Connecticut Avenue, 23rd Street, and Leander Avenue (formerly 50th Avenue) to re-route traffic. See a map of the CentraCare roundabout and detour area.
Motorists should expect delays and are urged to find alternate routes during this time. This phase of construction is expected to last approximately one month, at which time County Road 120 and Leander Ave. (50th Ave.) will then be closed.
A map of the detour route for the first phase of construction is available on the Stearns County website. When visiting the web site the public is also encouraged to sign up to be notified by email whenever project updates are posted.
