Stearns County Salutes Its Veterans

Thank you to all our Veterans and to those who honored a Veteran through a photo submission!

They are the brave men and women who have risked and sacrificed for our peace and freedom. They are the soldiers who serve our country and protect and defend our nation. They are our hometown heroes – neighbors, parents, co-workers, grandparents, coaches, store clerks, sons, daughters, teachers, firefighters and friends.

Thanks Ashley. You posted a very nice tribute to your grandfather, and to me. I'm proud of you for all you've accomplished. It is hard to believe that all this time has passed since you were a little baby and all the joy you and your brothers brought to Pat and I. So many great memories as you grew up and explored every aspect of living. You have always been a loving daughter and at the same time tolerant of the differences in others. Love you always. Dad :-))

I am humbled and honored to be looking at the faces of such brave men and women. Thank you for your service and I'm glad your loved ones are sharing these stories.

Herman Gangl is my god-father, Jason & Katy are my cousins! So very proud of the sacrifices they all have made!
My father is a Vietnam Veteran... and most of my uncles are veterans as well as a bunch of other cousins! So very proud to be American and to be part of such a wonderful family!
