County Campus - Courthouse Square, Downtown St. Cloud

The downtown campus contains:

the Stearns County Courthouse (725 Courthouse Square)
the Law Enforcement Center (807 Courthouse Square)
the Courts Facility building (815 Courthouse Square)
the Administration Center (705 Courthouse Square)

The Paramount Parking Garage is one block from the campus, on the corner of 1st Street North and 10th Avenue North. There is also on-street, metered, handicapped, and permit parking available.

Directions to the Downtown St. Cloud County Campus

From the north (Highway 10):

  1. Turn west (right) onto St. Germain Street (signal-controlled intersection).
  2. Follow St. Germain approx. 1/2 mile over Mississippi River. Road curves north around the campus, becoming 2nd Street North.
  3. Turn left onto 10th Avenue North (signal-controlled intersection).
  4. Paramount Parking Garage is one block down on the left.

From the south (Highway 15):

  1. Turn east (right) onto Hwy. 23 East / Division Street (2nd set of signal lights).
  2. Follow Hwy. 23 East / Division Street approx. 4 miles toward downtown St. Cloud.
  3. Turn left at 7th Avenue (first signal after Lake George appears on your right).
  4. Turn left onto Courthouse Square (third left you can take)
  5. Follow Courthouse Square around the Courthouse onto 1st Street North; one block to Paramount Parking Garage.

From the east (Interstate 94):

  1. Exit north at Exit 171, onto Stearns County Road 75.
  2. Proceed about 1.5 miles on CR 75
  3. Turn right onto Clearwater Road (signal-controlled intersection).
  4. Follow Clearwater Road (which becomes 9th Avenue) into downtown.
  5. Turn right onto 1st Street North (first turn after crossing St. Germain Street).
  6. Paramount Parking Garage is immediately on your right.

From the west (Highway 23):

  1. Follow Highway 23 into downtown (Hwy. 23 is also Division Street).
  2. Turn left at 8th Avenue North (first light after Lake George appears on your right).
  3. Turn left at 7th Avenue (first signal after Lake George appears on your right).
  4. Turn left onto Courthouse Square (third left you can take)
  5. Follow Courthouse Square around the Courthouse onto 1st Street North; one block to Paramount Parking Garage.

Veterans Service Office

The Veterans Service Office moved in the summer of 2011 from its downtown location to the Stearns County Service Center in Waite Park.

The newest County building, the Stearns County Service Center, opened September 2009. It's located one-half mile west of Mills Fleet Farm on County Road 138 in Waite Park.   Learn more about the Service Center

Turn south onto 28th Ave S (left turn coming from St. Cloud and right turn coming from St. Joseph)
Turn right heading West onto County Road 138

From Highway 23 W:
Turn north onto 28th Ave S (left turn coming from Cold Spring/I-94 and right turn coming from St. Cloud)
Turn left heading West onto County Road 138
Service Center will be on the right

Melrose office (Human Services and Veterans Services)

Take I-94 West, exiting at Melrose. Proceed into the town of Melrose, and turn left at 2nd Street South. Drive two blocks to the Melrose Area Community Service Center.

Parks Department

From Hwy 23/2nd Street South, turn south on 10th Avenue South (the Menards corner) and follow 10th Avenue South to County Road 137.

Turn west (right) onto CR 137, and watch for Quarry Park signs. The park will be on your left (south side of the road). Enter Quarry Park, but before you reach the gatehouse, turn left and proceed to the Parks Office.

Public Works

From Division Street/County Road 75 in Waite Park, turn south (left) on 28th Avenue South (it's the Fleet Farm corner). Follow this avenue to the Public Works building on the west side of the road.

You can also reach this office from 2nd Street South/Highway 23; 28th Avenue runs north-south between CR 75 and Hwy. 23.

University of Minnesota Extension Service, Stearns County

From Division Street, turn north onto 33rd Avenue North, go one block to 1st Street North, turn left. Proceed to the brown brick Midtown Office Building. Office is on the first floor of the Building, suite 103.

Workforce Center (Human Services)

From Division Street, turn North on 25th Avenue North, turn Right onto 13th Street North, which merges into Northway Drive, and proceed on Northway. St. Cloud Technical College is on the right side of the road. Park in Lot B on the North side of the St. Cloud Technical College and enter the Workforce Center through Door 2.
