We have a number of forms and permit applications available for download. If you do not see the form or application you need, please contact the Auditor/Treasurer's Office.
Application for an Auctioneer License is made in your county of residence. In Stearns County, you may apply only at the Stearns County Administration Building (downtown). In order to apply you must meet the following requirements:
- Provide the County with a bond in the amount of $1,000.00 - $3,000.00
- Must be 18 years of age
- Show proof a residency for at least 6 months (Drivers License or State Identification Card)
- Pay a License Fee of $20.00

Fireworks permits are issued through the Stearns County Auditor/Treasurer's office for displays taking place within Stearns County.
A Fireworks Permit (13.3 Kb PDF file) must be submitted to the Stearns County Auditor-Treasurer's Office
- Pay an application fee of $50.00
- Provide a Bond or Certificate of Insurance in the amount of 1.5 million dollars

Transient Merchants wanting to do business in Stearns County must:
- Submit a Transient Merchant License (20 Kb PDF file) application to the Stearns County Auditor-Treasurer Office
- All applications must include an inventory list of items for sale.
- Provide a bond for $1,000
- Pay a fee of $150.00.
Transient Merchant licenses are valid for one year at the location specified on the application. A license must be purchased for each location at which business is being conducted.

These permit applications are provided by the Minnesota Department of Public Safety.
