Phase One: Scoping
At a glance:
Scoping will identify the most realistic corridor alignments, and note any environmental, social, economic, and transportation issues that are associated with them them. The scoping study will not select a preferred alignment.
Stearns County hired a consultant to assist in completing the scoping process, which began in spring 2007 and is currently awaiting approval from the Federal Highway Administration.
The scoping process provides an opportunity for the public and agencies to participate in developing the project's purpose and need statement, and in identifying feasible alternatives.
