Quarry Eleven
Quarry 11 is one of the largest quarries in the park and it has a maximum depth of 50 feet.

Descriptive Narrative:
Quarry Eleven is the first of the western group that is characterized by dominantly red granite and commonly have basalt dikes. Outcrops on the west and north walls of this quarry include shear zones in red granite. There is a small basalt dike in the outcrop knob located in the center of the west wall. However, glacial material and spoils blocks make up most of the quarry margins.
This is one of the largest quarries in the park and it has a maximum depth of 50 feet. Mud turtles and fish have been observed in the quarry. Between March and May, 1994, water level dropped in this quarry , but rose in all other quarries in the park.
